Huge Crowds to Flock to Barry’s Tea Food Market this Weekend as Patrick’s Festival Kicks Off
Barry’s Tea will add an extra special neon touch to this year’s Cork St Patrick’s Festival presented by Cork City Council to ensure the city really sparkles during the Irish celebrations. The electric and colourful Queens of Neon will descend on Cork in all their neon glory, to serve up FREE delicious cups of Barry’s Tea at the Barry’s Tea Food Market during this year’s Festival taking place on 13th, 14th and 17th March at the Grand Parade and boardwalk South Mall.
The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Dara Murphy said: “I am encouraging everyone to come into the Barry’s Tea Food market this weekend and to enjoy food and craft products from the best of our locally food and craft producers. Cork as a destination is synonymous with food lovers for the very high quality produce that is available here and this is a tradition that is carried on with our English Market, farmers markets and this Barry’s Tea Food Market as part of Cork’s St. Patrick’s Festival. It is no wonder that Cork is on the Lonely Planet’s top ten cities to visit list or the fact that Yahoo China named Cork City as one of the top ten tourist cities to visit globally in 2010, “he said.
Renowned for their incredible tea parties and flair, the Queens of Neon made their mark winning the Bridgestone Award for Style and Presentation at last year’s Electric Picnic and have since been seen popping up around the country recently at special Alice in Wonderland Barry’s Tea parties. Not only will foodies be able to tantalize their taste buds with a variety of treats but the Queens of Neon will be quenching thirsts with cups of Barry’s Tea blends ranging from Gold and Classic Blend, Very Berry, Peppermint and new Pu-erh and Rooibos blends.
