Cork St Patrick’s celebrations are the reel deal
~ Paddy’s Night Fleadh Concert at Cork Opera House ~
Tuesday 17th March, 8pm
Cork is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in true ‘Paddy’ style this year with a special Paddy’s Night Fleadh concert, celebrating traditional Irish music and song, at Cork Opera House on Tuesday 17th March, as part of the Cork St Patrick’s Festival.
The Paddy’s Night Fleadh has a fantastic line-up featuring the legendary John Spillane, traditional Irish folk music legend and Cork native, Jimmy Crowley, and internationally acclaimed singer Karen Casey who will perform with an impressive choir of 30 adults and children. The night will also feature performances from Elaine Cormican, Anna Mitchell, Niall Vallely, and the renowned Pulses of Tradition, which is the no. 1 attraction in Cork on TripAdvisor.
The concert is perfect for those looking for an authentic Irish experience and promises to be an exceptional evening of music and entertainment for young and old alike.
A trad music trail will also take place in Cork over the festival weekend with The Lee Sessions, who run free traditional Irish music sessions in city centre pubs.
Paddy’s Night Fleadh follows on from the recently sold-out Gradam Ceoil TG4 concert, and again puts Cork firmly on the map as a hub for traditional Irish culture.
The concert kicks off at 8pm at Cork Opera House on Tuesday 17th of March and all tickets priced at a special rate of €17 but are due to sell out fast! So don’t miss this unique piece of Cork based culture on our National Saint’s Day.
